Pros of Fusion 360

  • The cloud-based nature of Fusion 360 was incredibly convenient, allowing me to access my designs from any device. I loved being able to collaborate in real time with team members on the same files.


  • The user interface was modern, intuitive, and easy to navigate. Even as a beginner, I was able to pick up the basics of sketching, modelling, and assembling parts pretty quickly thanks to the well-designed menus and tools.


  • Fusion 360 integrated CAD, CAM, and CAE all in one platform. I could take a design from concept to prototype machining completely within the software. The ability to switch seamlessly between design and manufacturing was a huge time saver.


  • There were tons of online tutorials, courses, and an active user community that I could leverage whenever I got stuck or wanted to learn new skills. The learning resources Fusion 360 offered were invaluable.




Cons of Fusion 360

  • While suitable for simpler projects, Fusion 360 started to struggle with very large complex assemblies and intricate modeling. The performance could slow down when working with extremely detailed files.


  • There were occasional bugs and glitches that detracted from the user experience. Crashes seemed to happen sporadically when I was deep into modeling or running simulations.


  • The subscription pricing model may not have appealed to everyone, especially hobbyists on a budget. I wished there was an option to permanently purchase a license or pay-per-use.


  • Collaboration features required a strong internet connection. Offline functionality was limited, which was frustrating when I needed to work without connectivity.
